Out with the old….

Last year Dinah finally got her pointe shoes. So beautiful, so exciting.

Here’s what they look like now:

Actually, they still work, it’s just that, whether we notice it or not, Dinah is growing. She tried to put them on a couple weeks ago, and it just wasn’t going to happen. It’s one thing to dance on one’s toes, it’s quite another to dance on your toes while those toes are being squished!

So, this week I sew new ribbons and new straps onto the beautiful new shoes!
