What a great weekend. It started off particularly nice, Friday was our last day of school for Caleb, Dinah, Bekah and me. That morning included awards assemblies for Caleb and Dinah. Dinah received a Citizenship Honor award,
and got all A’s except for one B on her report card. The B had come from a C (in Math) just a couple weeks ago, so we were happy with her grades.
Caleb received several awards, one of which was scoring 100% on the Language Arts CRT test. Pretty proud of that boy. It will come in handy to remember that when he’s acting like a goofy 13 year-old this summer—He’s smarter than he lets on!
We headed for Bear Lake by about 2:00 that afternoon. We took a short detour to Malad, Idaho, so that we could decorate my parents’ gravesite.
Next – through the canyon to Cache Valley. It was rainy and lovely. We finally arrived up at Bear Lake about 6:00. It was a perfect evening to roast hot dogs around the fire.
Jacob and Cori—(Due in 38 days!)
giant marshmallow—1’ll do ya!
Cori, Benjamin, and Abby—Benjamin wants to get closer to the fire!
To be continued…
