Abby and Sarah decided to go rock climbing at Dogwood for Sarah’s birthday on Saturday. Steve joined them , and Caleb coaxed his way along—which included buying a new small climbing harness for him. Off they headed to Dogwood, up Big Cottonwood Canyon, with the final word being—“Keep him safe.”
Frank, Jacob, Cori, Benjamin, Sampson and I headed up for a campfire and hotdogs. As we pull in , the sign says, “No Domestic Pets”. So even though we’re not sure that Sampson qualifies as a Domestic Pet, I drove him home. By the time I got back, not only Caleb had climbed to the top, but Dinah had also. It seems they were better at getting up than getting down—Caleb figured it out part way down his first climb and did much better his second time down. Dinah claims “everyone was yelling at her”, which eventually helped her to find her way down. It was a great adventure, followed by a great evening of hot dogs, s’mores, and laughter.
