Happy Monday!

I’ve got three casualties home today. Dinah came down at 6:40 am to practice her harp and said she felt like she might throw up. I told her to do what she could and let me know how she felt in a few minutes. She played a couple pieces, I went in and helped her with the tuning on one piece. A few minutes later she came walking through the kitchen, right past me to the bathroom and next thing I knew she was heaving into the toilet. That’s been her lot throughout the day, about 6 times now.

I called down to Sarah as I was leaving for Zumba, just to let her know that Dinah was home, sick. Sarah came staggering up the stairs—she hadn’t thrown up yet, but was feeling as if she might any minute. So, I bolted out the door, wishing them both the best.

(I went down stairs a few minutes ago to try to get a picture of Sarah but she was kind of propped up in the shower so I decided I’d just let it go!)

On my way home from Zumba, I called Frank to let him know what was going on at home and he said that his tummy was a bit unsettled and that I might see him at home in a bit. Sure enough, about 12:30, in he came, looking pretty peaked. It seems he threw up at work. So he came home to join the party.

So far it’s just those three. Bekah came home for lunch and doesn’t seem to have any symptoms. I haven’t heard from Caleb at school, so he must be fine. I’m wiping things down with Clorox Disinfecting Wipes and washing my hands, and keeping my distance—“I’m sorry, Dinah, that you’re back over the toilet. Thanks for being so good at making it to the toilet. You’re being very brave.”—all from across the room.

Here’s hoping for a better Tuesday!

Caleb just came flying in the door. It seems he threw up twice today, towards the end of the day. He dashed for the bathroom and has officially joined the ranks.
