December 2010

Dear Family and Friends,

We hope that everyone is having a wonderful and safe holiday season as this year comes to an end. It’s been an eventful year for the Hintze Family.

Daddy (Frank) is a proud Grandpa of two new grandchildren and is having fun being a Grandpa! He is still working at Deseret Industries. In September he was released from the Singles’ Ward Bishopric. He served in the ward for almost five years. It was a sad farewell but he’s happy to be back in the Family Ward. He is now serving in the Ward Sunday School Presidency. A couple of the big projects he did this year were laying new tile in the kitchen and dining room and tearing out the old carpet in the living room, family room, and master bedroom upstairs so we could get new carpet in November.

Mom (Marla) has been enjoying her time as a Grandma and staying at home. She quit her Elementary Music Teaching Job. She is enjoying her time to exercise every day, having more time to sew and cook. She currently has 30 piano students. She is serving as the Employment Specialist in the ward. --Hintze Family Blog: frankhintzefamily.blogspot.com

Sarah is still attending BYU working on her Master’s Degree and is doing well in her classes. She will be graduating in Public Administration in April 2011. She will be the first Master in the Frank Hintze family! She is having a good time in Provo. Next June she is considering traveling to China for six weeks! Sarah’s Blog: sarahhintze.blogspot.com

In February Mom, Dad, Sarah and Bekah went on a Dream Cruise to Honduras, Mexico and Belize. They had a wonderful time.

Jacob and Cori are still living at the University of Utah. Jacob has a good job at the Bookstore working in the Accounting Department. Cori is a stay at home mom and is having fun being home with the babies. Benjamin is two years old, and is the nicest two year-old you’ll probably ever meet. He is constantly waving to every person he passes by. He is having fun being a big brother. On July 11 Grace May Hintze was born. She is adorable and we love having her as part of the family.

Abigail and Steve are living in West Jordan. In March they bought a house about five minutes to the south of us and they are having fun in their new home. Steven is working for the FDIC. This past year he has been traveling a lot going to Texas, Washington D.C, Idaho, and Southern Utah. Abigail went along to D.C and St. George. Abigail gave birth to their first baby on September 15, Elijah Steven Hale. Abby was able to quit her job and stay at home with the baby. Eli is a joy to have in the family.

Rebekah is working at Osborne Dental as an Office Manager/Assistant. She is serving in the Relief Society Presidency in the Single’s ward. This past summer she participated in Midvale’s Community Musical, “Bye Bye Birdie” as the leading lady, Rosie. Mr. Jeremiah Wing played opposite her as Albert and they are continuing their onstage romance offstage! J

I (Hannah) finished my second year at BYU-I. I participated in the Collegiate World Dance team, and was Activities Co-Chair for my Student Ward. In August I got a job at Jacob Lake Inn, in Arizona, about an hour from the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. While working there I was a waitress and got to meet people from all over the world. I also hiked Rim to Rim (north rim to south rim) of the Grand Canyon with my work friends in one day, 26 miles in 13 hours! I’m looking forward to going to back to school.

Caleb is now fourteen and is in eighth grade. Last month he attended his first Region Dance, and is claiming that girls lined up to dance with him… He loves camping with the Scouts, and dancing and singing with his Musical Theatre group with Miss Margene. He was a Russian dancer for the Annual Nutcracker Performance.

Dinah is eleven and is looking forward to Young Women’s in a couple of months to be a Beehive. Last month she got an early Christmas present, her first pair of Ballet Pointe Shoes and she has been dancing all over the house! She is has been playing the harp for just over a year now and is becoming quite accomplished. We love to listen to her practice.

This past year our family went on lots of trips including May Family Reunion to Nauvoo, Il in June, which also included Kansas City and Independence, Mo; Omaho, and the Badlands and Mt Rushmore in S.D., and Cody, Wy; our Annual trip to Island Park and Yellowstone for Labor Day; Girl’s trip down to Jacob Lake and the Grand Canyon to drop me off, Mom, Dad, Caleb, and Dinah came down in October, and Bekah, Jeremiah, and Bekah’s friend, Kimberly, came down to pick me up.

We wish you a very Merry Christmas and a delightful New Year!

Love,

Hintzes
