Game night

My cousin, Dion, introduced us to a couple new games, recently: Aguaretta and Quiddler.  I played Quiddler at the family reunion last weekend.  My Aunts Beverly and Nadene are pretty darn good at it.

Abby and Steve came for dinner tonight. They both like to play games.  So after dinner, and FHE we got down to business.  Happily, Steve had spent time before dinner reading the instructions to Aquaretta, so he was able to explain most of the rules. more aquaretta

We played once to get acuainted with the concept, and then again for keeps, so to speak.  It’s fun.  Even Frank enjoy the strategy, and he’s not a real game player! Frank playing aquaretta

Quiddler is sort of like Scrabble, but you use cards.  Very unpredictable, as the cards can be arrange into different words depending on the next draw, and you never know when someone might go out.  I love words, so I find myself helping everyone as they go down, figuring out more points from their cards.  We had a fun time tonight.
