Summer

Now many of you are looking forward to school getting out. Finals are over and summer work is about to begin. Well here in Rexburg summer has started...well summer semester that is. I have just finished my 2nd week in to summer semester. It has been wonderful. The busiest semester that I have ever experienced but it is by far the most fulfilling.

I'm serving as Dance Board Director with the Activities program on campus. I'm in charge of all the dances that are on campus i.e. the weekly country, swing, latin, and ballroom. And all the formal dances throughout the semester. I have a board that includes coordinator, managers, and volunteers; so basically I just make sure everything runs smoothly. I really enjoy it, in fact tonight we are headed to the Teton Lodge for our retreat.

I have also been called to serve as a Relief Society President in my ward. It's very humbling and it is a huge blessing in my life. The first couple of weeks have been crazy trying to get to know everyone and get the ward put together with callings but it's so fun to see the Lord's hand in everything that goes on with the ward. I really have a love for all the sisters in my relief society and I want the best for all of them.

I love all of my classes. I'm taking two recreational leadership classes, Old Testament, clogging, jazz music history, and I'm a TA for country dancing. In all 14 credits. It's amazing how the Lord blesses you with time management. I feel like every night I have some sort of meeting, but I seem to always get my homework done.

Along with all of that I have a job as an RA to help pay the bills. I enjoy getting to know the girls on the third floor. Many of them will update me with their dating lives, and even ask for advice. I guess if I"m going to up past till midnight I might as well get paid for it.

Life is amazing, I feel so blessed to be a student here at BYU-Idaho. For those of you who have never experienced the spirit here, you should one day.
